DEAR FRIENDS OF AACSR:
This year has brought us many beautiful souls in need—but right now, we are facing an urgent crisis. Four of our rescues are in desperate need of medical care, and our funding is critically low. The economy has made it harder for everyone, and donations are down—but the needs of these dogs haven’t stopped.
We are asking for your compassion and generosity today. Your donation can help give these four deserving dogs the chance at the pain-free, love-filled lives they’ve never known.

🐾 CHARLY: This handsome boy has endured a lifetime of untreated ear infections. His ear canals are now completely closed, calcified, and infected—leaving him in constant pain. Charly is bravely hanging on with antibiotics and pain meds as treatment until he can undergo total ear canal ablation surgery (TECA) at U. Penn. It’s his only chance at relief.
❤️🩹 BENNY: Benny is a sweet senior who was cruelly neglected for years. He never received medical care for his serious conditions. Now safe with us, he’s finally getting the help he needs. He just saw a cardiologist, started 2 different heart medications, and is cleared for surgery to remove a huge, bleeding rectal mass. He likely has glaucoma too and needs to see an ophthalmologist soon. Despite it all, Benny greets each day with hope.

🎨 KALEIDOSCOPE: At just 5 years old, this joyful boy’s ears are in terrible shape. We’re fighting to save them and avoid a total ear canal ablation (TECA) surgery. That means weekly veterinary visits for deep cleanings and specialized treatment. He’s been so brave, and with your help, we can keep him from enduring a lifetime of deafness and pain.

🐶 MERLE: This gentle senior has several masses that require urgent biopsies and needs a full geriatric workup. He’s also requires comprehensive blood work to diagnose other health issues. Merle has the kindest soul—and deserves to spend his golden years feeling safe and healthy.
